Google has introduced Gemini 3.1 Pro, the latest iteration of its core AI model, with availability expanding across consumer, developer and enterprise ecosystems.

Building on the Gemini 3 series and following last week’s Gemini 3 Deep Think update, the new model is designed to improve reasoning and problem-solving capabilities for more complex tasks.

According to Google, Gemini 3.1 Pro achieved a score of 77.1% on ARC-AGI-2, a benchmark used to assess how effectively AI models can solve unfamiliar logic-based challenges. The company said this marks more than double the reasoning performance compared to Gemini 3 Pro.

The model is currently available in preview for developers through the Gemini API via Google AI Studio, Gemini CLI, Google Antigravity and Android Studio. Enterprise users can access it through Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise, while consumers will see it gradually rolled out within the Gemini app and NotebookLM.

Google stated that Gemini 3.1 Pro is built for tasks that demand deeper reasoning, such as synthesising information from multiple sources, generating structured outputs and addressing complex queries.

Since the launch of Gemini 3 Pro in November, the company has incorporated user feedback into subsequent updates. While the current release is in preview, broader general availability is expected in the coming months.

Within the Gemini app, Gemini 3.1 Pro is being introduced with higher usage limits for subscribers to Google AI Pro and Ultra plans. On NotebookLM, access to the model is limited to Pro and Ultra users, while developers and enterprise customers can explore it through preview access via the Gemini API and related platforms.
