Suchetana Ray has joined Mint as Deputy Managing Editor after spending two years as Executive Editor at NDTV. In her new role, she will report to Josey P. John, Editor-in-Chief, Mint.
Ray brings more than two decades of experience across media platforms, with expertise in editorial leadership, content strategy and media business development.
During her tenure at NDTV, Ray played a role in the premiumisation of NDTV.com’s content and the development of its subscription strategy. She was also associated with several of the network’s flagship properties, including the NDTV Art Awards, NDTV Food Awards, NDTV Profit Business Leadership Awards, Indian of the Year and the NDTV World Summit.
Prior to NDTV, Ray held multiple leadership roles at the Outlook Group. She joined the organisation as Editor of Outlook Business and later became Chief Strategy Officer, taking on responsibilities spanning editorial operations, brand development and revenue.
Over the course of her career, Ray has reported extensively on economic policy, business and economic crime. Her previous stints include roles at ET Now, Hindustan Times and The Economic Times, adding to her experience across television, print and digital news platforms.
