The India Today Group has forayed into the microdrama segment with the launch of Life Tak, a mobile-first platform offering short-form fiction and infotainment content.
The platform was unveiled at the India Today Conclave 2026 in Mumbai, alongside its debut series, ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ (RRRR). The series’ teaser was launched by Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Aroon Purie, chairman and editor-in-chief of the India Today Group.
Reimagining the Ramayan through vertical storytelling, ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ combines the traditional epic with a contemporary production style designed for digital-first audiences.
Life Tak will incorporate AI-driven visual engineering, script-generation tools and creative world-building into its content production process, according to the group.
The series is scheduled to premiere on October 18, 2026. Episodes will be available on Life Tak’s Instagram, YouTube and Facebook channels, as well as through the Aaj Tak app.
