Senior journalist and television anchor Rubika Liyaquat has returned to News18, marking her second move to the network in 2026 after a brief stint with Times Now Navbharat.
Liyaquat’s return comes shortly after she exited Times Now Navbharat, where she served as Senior Executive Editor – TNNB and Vice President – Special Projects. She joined the Times Network in June 2026 and was based out of its Noida office. During her tenure, she was responsible for the prime-time programme News Ki Pathshala, alongside broader editorial initiatives and special content projects.

Liyaquat’s earlier association with News18 began in January 2024, when she joined the network as Consulting Editor after leaving Bharat24. During her stint, she was among the prominent faces of News18 India’s prime-time programming and editorial ecosystem.
Liyaquat brings nearly two decades of experience in broadcast journalism, with her work spanning political reporting, election coverage, prime-time programming and newsroom leadership. Over the course of her career, she has been associated with several prominent Hindi news organisations, including ABP News, Zee News, News24, Live India, Bharat24, News18 India and Times Now Navbharat.
