Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has unveiled a leadership realignment under its refreshed operating model, underlining its push to transform into a content-led, platform-agnostic and multilingual entertainment company.

Pantvaidya to Lead Key Entertainment Verticals

As part of the restructuring, Nachiket Pantvaidya has been given expanded responsibility for Sony Entertainment Television (SET), Sony Marathi, and the company’s film production portfolio. In his new mandate, Pantvaidya will oversee the entire content value chain — from strategy and programming to marketing and on-air promotions — across both linear television and digital platforms.

The move positions him at the centre of SPNI’s mass entertainment operations, covering flagship Hindi general entertainment programming as well as regional content initiatives.

Unified Content Command Across Screens

The integrated role is aimed at tightening coordination between creative, commercial and promotional teams, enabling faster decision-making and closer alignment between television franchises and their digital extensions. According to the network, the structure is designed to deliver sharper content choices, quicker execution and more cohesive audience engagement across platforms.

Breaking Silos in a Converged Media Landscape

With the leadership overhaul, SPNI is signalling a shift towards unified content stewardship that cuts across channels, formats and distribution platforms. The company said the new model is intended to dismantle traditional organisational silos while strengthening its ability to build scalable entertainment brands that resonate with viewers across screens and languages.

The realignment comes as broadcasters increasingly adapt to changing consumption habits, with audiences moving fluidly between television and digital platforms and demanding more consistent, franchise-led storytelling experiences.
