Ritika Jauhari has joined Novartis India to lead its Corporate Communications function, marking a transition from senior agency leadership and communications consulting to an in-house role with the global medicines company.

Jauhari brings more than 20 years of experience across strategic communications, healthcare communications, public relations, advocacy, media relations, stakeholder engagement and client advisory.

Before joining Novartis India, Jauhari was Senior Partner at SPAG/FINN, where she held a senior leadership position from September 2022. Prior to that, she served as President – New Business Development & Strategy at SPAG, where she was involved in driving the agency’s business development and strategic communications agenda.

Her tenure at SPAG saw her take on multiple leadership roles, giving her extensive experience in healthcare communications, advocacy, reputation management and stakeholder engagement.

Jauhari also served as Head of the Healthcare Practice at H+K Strategies India from August 2021 to April 2022. Earlier in her career at SPAG, she held roles including Senior Director – India and Singapore, Director – PR and Advocacy, Associate Director, Senior Manager – Advocacy & Communications, Manager – Media Relations and Client Servicing.

She began her career at The PRactice, where she worked between 2004 and 2006, and subsequently held account management roles at Integral PR Services and PR Pundit, where she served as Senior Account Executive.

Over the course of her career, Jauhari has moved from frontline PR and media relations roles to senior strategic, advisory and business leadership positions, with a significant part of her experience focused on the healthcare sector.

At Novartis India, Jauhari is expected to leverage her healthcare communications and stakeholder engagement expertise to strengthen the company’s corporate communications agenda, including corporate reputation, strategic narratives and stakeholder communications.

Her move also comes amid a broader shift of senior communications professionals from agency and consultancy environments into in-house corporate communications roles, particularly across highly regulated and reputation-sensitive sectors such as healthcare.
