Renaissa Ghosh Papnai has been appointed India marketing and communications head at Hitachi Digital, taking charge of the company's marketing and communications strategy in India.

Based in Noida, Ghosh Papnai brings over 15 years of experience across public relations, corporate communications, brand positioning, leadership communications, employee engagement and integrated marketing campaigns.

She joined Hitachi Digital in August 2019 as assistant manager, marketing communications, and was promoted to deputy manager, marketing and communications, in January 2023. In January 2025, she took on the role of internal communications lead for India before assuming her current position in April 2026.

Prior to joining Hitachi Digital, Ghosh Papnai worked across the technology, financial services, publishing and public relations sectors.

She began her career as an intern at Sahara India in 2011 before joining Value 360 Communications in 2012 as associate, media and communication. At the agency, she handled public relations and client servicing for brands including ASUS, Kaun Banega Crorepati, SonyLIV, BSNL Penta, NewsHunt and Trend Micro.

She subsequently moved into publishing, working with Om Books International from December 2013 to August 2014, where she managed media relations, social media campaigns, book launches and conferences. She then joined Rupa Publications India and Aleph Book Company, where she handled publicity, promotions and public relations, and worked on book launches, literary discussions, conferences and festivals.

In November 2015, Ghosh Papnai joined NXP Semiconductors, where she worked in public relations and corporate communications. Her responsibilities included developing publicity and branding strategies, managing media engagements and leadership opportunities, coordinating with PR agencies, and overseeing internal and external events.

She moved to Fiserv in October 2017 as specialist, branding and communications. During her tenure, she worked on internal communications, brand visibility, corporate social responsibility initiatives, employee engagement programmes and industry collaborations.

In her new role at Hitachi Digital, Ghosh Papnai will draw on her experience across brand strategy, integrated communications and stakeholder engagement to strengthen the company's marketing and communications efforts in India.
