Grey 82.5 has appointed Shouvik Roy as its Chief Executive Officer, effective December 1, 2026. Roy succeeds Kiran Ramamurthy, who will take over as CEO of VML India.
The leadership transition was announced by the agency on October 29, 2026. Roy and Ramamurthy will work together until December 1 to ensure a smooth handover across client partnerships and operations.
Roy brings three decades of experience spanning brand strategy, marketing transformation and business building. He previously served as President and Head of Ogilvy Delhi, where he worked with more than a dozen brands from the global Top 100.
Beyond his agency experience, Roy has an entrepreneurial background. He co-founded an advertising and design agency that played a role in building the Paper Boat brand. He later contributed to the development of G.O.A.T Brand Labs.
Commenting on the appointment, VR Rajesh, CEO of The Ogilvy Group India, said Grey 82.5 was entering its next phase following the integration of Grey and 82.5, which established a strong foundation for the agency's growth.
Rajesh thanked Ramamurthy for his leadership and contribution to the agency, while expressing confidence in Roy's ability to drive business growth and creative excellence. He highlighted Roy's strategic experience, entrepreneurial mindset and track record in brand building as key strengths for the role.
Grey 82.5 is part of The Ogilvy Group, which comprises distinct agency brands that retain their individual identities and serve clients independently while drawing on the group's collective expertise and capabilities where relevant.
