Megha Nayak, a long-time LinkedIn executive, has joined design platform Figma as its new head of marketing for India, marking a significant leadership move as the company sharpens its focus on the country’s fast-growing design and technology ecosystem.

Nayak announced her transition in a LinkedIn post, bringing to a close more than a decade-long stint at the professional networking platform, where she most recently served as global head of lifecycle marketing for LinkedIn’s marketing solutions business.

Leadership shift after decade at LinkedIn

During her tenure at LinkedIn, Nayak played a key role in shaping lifecycle marketing strategies for the company’s global marketing solutions portfolio, working at the intersection of product adoption, customer engagement and long-term platform growth.

Announcing her new role, she underlined the strategic importance of India for Figma’s next phase of expansion.

“This is a pivotal moment to help shape Figma’s presence in India and build India with Figma. As design and craft become key differentiators for success, Figma is evolving into a deeply interconnected ecosystem that takes teams seamlessly from idea to launch,” Nayak wrote.

Focus on design-led growth in India

Her appointment comes at a time when Indian technology startups, enterprises and digital-first companies are increasingly investing in design systems, user experience and collaborative product development — areas where Figma has built a strong global reputation.

As head of marketing for India, Nayak is expected to lead brand positioning, market outreach and community-building efforts, while deepening Figma’s engagement with designers, developers and product teams across the country.

Experience across technology and telecom

Before LinkedIn, Nayak spent around six and a half years at Tata Communications, adding to a career spanning nearly 17 years across technology and enterprise communications.

Her move to Figma reflects a broader trend of global SaaS and design-technology firms strengthening their leadership teams in India as the country emerges as both a major user base and a product innovation hub.
