Deepika Padukone has announced the launch of The OnSet Program, a new initiative under her Create With Me platform, aimed at supporting and mentoring emerging creative talent across India’s film, television and advertising industries.
The programme has been positioned as a structured, hands-on opportunity for aspiring professionals to gain real-world experience on active sets. It is designed to cater both to learners seeking exposure and to individuals with prior experience who are ready to take on leadership or contributory roles in live projects.
Wide range of creative and technical roles
In its first phase, The OnSet Program will offer opportunities across a broad spectrum of creative and technical departments. These include writing, direction, camera, lighting, editing, sound design, art direction, costume design, hair styling, make-up artistry and production.
According to the programme outline, participants will be able to work closely with established teams, gaining insight into professional workflows while contributing meaningfully to ongoing projects.
Padukone on creating space for new voices
Announcing the initiative through a video shared on her Instagram handle, Padukone said she has been increasingly driven to identify and support emerging talent from across the country.
“This past year, I’ve been feeling very strongly about discovering incredible creative talent from across the country and beyond, and giving them a platform to be seen, heard and experienced,” she said. “I’m beyond thrilled to announce the launch of The OnSet Program and truly cannot wait to introduce all of you to the next generation of creative talent.”
Launched on actor’s birthday
The initiative was formally unveiled on Padukone’s birthday and is positioned as an extension of her ongoing efforts to encourage creative storytelling and amplify new voices within the industry.
Interested applicants can submit their work and apply through the programme’s official website, where further details about eligibility and application timelines have been shared.
