Ravi Garg has taken on an expanded role at Meta as Managing Director – Enterprise Business for Asia-Pacific (APAC), following more than five years of leading WhatsApp’s business messaging and payments operations in India.

Garg served as Country Director – Business Messaging & Payments at WhatsApp from July 2021 to September 2026. During his tenure, he spearheaded the rollout and expansion of the platform’s business messaging and payments operations in India, building the business from the ground up.

In his new role, Garg will focus on driving the growth of Meta’s enterprise business across the APAC region, as organisations increasingly explore artificial intelligence (AI) to transform their products, services and go-to-market strategies. His responsibilities will include expanding the adoption of Meta’s business messaging solutions, Meta Business Agents and Muse APIs among businesses across the region.

Before joining WhatsApp, Garg spent 13 years at Microsoft, where he held senior positions across sales, strategy, business planning and channel management. His professional experience also includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at Nazara Technologies and holding a general management role at Sify.

With experience spanning technology, digital platforms, business strategy and operations, Garg’s expanded mandate comes at a time when Meta is looking to strengthen its enterprise offerings and help businesses leverage AI-driven solutions to support their growth and transformation.
