Virat Khanna has joined Tata Consumer Products as Vice President – Marketing & Innovation for its Beverages division. In his new role, he will lead the marketing and innovation strategy for the company’s packaged beverages portfolio, while also driving growth initiatives for Tata Agni.
Khanna announced his appointment through a LinkedIn post, describing the move as a transition from the skincare category to the beverages segment after more than five years with Dabur India.
At Dabur, Khanna most recently served as Head of Marketing – Skin Care, having previously led the Vatika hair care category as Category Head. Before joining Dabur, he was associated with The Moms Co as Head of Marketing and Philips as Category Marketing Manager – Male Grooming and Innovation.
Khanna began his career journey with L’Oréal India, where he spent over seven years in various roles spanning marketing, sales and key account management.
Commenting on his new role, Khanna expressed enthusiasm about shaping the innovation agenda for the packaged beverages portfolio and contributing to the growth of Tata Agni. He noted that the opportunity aligns with his interest in building for the future and developing brands that become an integral part of consumers’ everyday lives.
“Different category. Different canvas. Same consumer obsession,” Khanna said in his LinkedIn post, reflecting on his transition into the beverages business.
