JioBlackRock Broking Private Limited, the brokerage arm of the Jio Financial Services–BlackRock joint venture, has appointed Nikhil Dhoka as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Dhoka announced his new role through LinkedIn, where his profile indicates that he took charge in September 2026.

Dhoka joins JioBlackRock from Kotak Neo, where he spent nearly four years, most recently serving as Senior Executive Vice President, leading product and revenue. Prior to that, he worked with Paytm, gaining experience across digital broking, product development and consumer financial technology.

JioBlackRock Broking received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in June 2025 to operate as a stockbroker and clearing member.

The appointment comes as the joint venture prepares to expand its presence in India's retail investment market by combining Jio Financial Services' digital distribution network with BlackRock's investment expertise and technology capabilities.

Jio Financial Services has previously indicated that its broking business remains in the incubation and product-development stage, as the company works towards building a digital-first investment platform.
