The board of directors of Sun TV Network has approved the reappointment of Kalanithi Maran and Kaveri Kalanithi as whole-time directors for another five-year term, effective April 20, 2027. The appointments are subject to approval from the company's shareholders.
According to a company notice dated October 30, 2026, Kalanithi Maran has been reappointed as a whole-time director for the period from April 20, 2027, to April 19, 2032. He will continue to serve as the company's Executive Chairman during this tenure.
The board has also approved Kaveri Kalanithi's reappointment as a whole-time director for the same five-year period. She will continue in her capacity as Executive Director.
Appointments subject to shareholder approval
Sun TV Network will seek shareholders' approval for both appointments through a postal ballot. The board's decision will therefore require final shareholder consent before the reappointments take effect.
