Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has secured the exclusive television and digital media rights for India’s tour of Ireland in 2026, further expanding its cricket broadcasting portfolio.

Under the agreement, Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV will exclusively broadcast the two-match T20I series, giving Indian fans access to Team India’s matches in Ireland across television and digital platforms.

The acquisition adds to SPNI’s growing lineup of international cricket properties and reinforces its strategy of offering year-round cricket content beyond major ICC events and high-profile bilateral series.

Commenting on the development, Rajesh Kaul, chief revenue officer and business head – sports and international, Sony Pictures Networks India, said the network remains committed to delivering premium cricket coverage and bringing fans closer to the game through comprehensive broadcast experiences.

“We are delighted to bring this exciting Ireland tour exclusively to viewers across Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV. This acquisition reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality cricket content throughout the year and further strengthens our position as a premier destination for live sports,” Kaul said.

Sarah Keane, chief executive officer of Cricket Ireland, welcomed the partnership, noting the strong viewership generated by India’s previous tour in 2022.

“When we hosted India Men in 2022, the broadcast became the most-watched sporting event ever staged in Ireland. We hope this year’s series can match or even surpass that success while showcasing the strength of Irish cricket and the outstanding setting of Stormont in Northern Ireland to a global audience,” she said.

The two T20Is are expected to draw significant interest from Indian cricket fans, with the series adding another international assignment for Team India in 2026.
