Neeman’s, the homegrown comfort-first footwear brand, has opened its 50th exclusive retail store in Panjagutta, Hyderabad, as it looks to expand its retail network to 500 stores across India over the next three years.
Spread across 2,437 sq. ft., the new store marks a milestone in the brand’s offline expansion. The opening is also significant for Neeman’s, as Hyderabad is the city where the idea for the brand originated and where its founders, Taran Chhabra and Amar Preet Singh, are based.
Neeman’s began its offline retail journey in April 2023, building on its digital presence to give consumers an opportunity to explore its footwear collections in person. Since then, the company has expanded its physical retail network across key markets, with Western and Southern India accounting for nearly 70% of its stores.
The brand initially focused on establishing the operational foundation for its offline business, including store operations, teams and processes. After reaching 20 stores, it activated a franchise-led expansion strategy, adding another 10 outlets within six months.
The company is now looking to accelerate this expansion, with a target of 500 stores over the next three years.
Speaking about the launch, Taran Chhabra, Founder and CEO, Neeman’s, said the 50-store milestone marked a significant moment in building the brand around everyday comfort. He added that the Hyderabad location held particular importance because of its connection to the company's origins.
Amar Preet Singh, Founder and COO, Neeman’s, said the retail network allows customers to explore the collections, find the right fit and experience the comfort associated with the brand firsthand.
The Panjagutta store features LED displays and curated visual merchandising, with collections spanning lifestyle sneakers, walking shoes, slip-ons, slippers, oxfords, slides, sandals, clogs, flip-flops and flats.
Customers can explore collections such as Begin Walk, Rapid Breeze, Eco and Cushers, alongside the Street Collection within lifestyle sneakers. To mark the opening, the brand has also created 10 special-edition pairs of shoes that will be displayed at the store as keepsakes and will not be available for sale.
With 50 exclusive outlets, Neeman’s is looking to combine its digital distribution with a wider physical retail presence. Its planned expansion to 500 stores represents the next phase of its growth strategy, aimed at making its comfort-led footwear accessible to more consumers across India.
