Stripe has appointed Isabella Liu as Head of Communications for Asia, expanding her responsibilities across the financial infrastructure company’s key markets in the region. Based in Singapore, Liu will oversee communications across Southeast Asia, Greater China and India, along with the company’s broader Asia-Pacific communications operations, excluding Japan.
In her new role, Liu will focus on strengthening Stripe’s communications around product innovation, customer trust and cross-border storytelling. She will also work to enhance awareness of the company’s initiatives, developments and strategic priorities across key Asian markets.
Liu previously served on Stripe’s APAC Communications team, where she worked on initiatives centred on product innovation, building customer trust and communicating the company’s offerings and developments across markets.
Before returning to the company in a regional leadership capacity, Liu headed communications for Discord in APAC. During her tenure, she and her team worked to raise awareness of the global messaging platform’s product launches, policy developments and corporate initiatives across the region.
Her professional experience also includes a stint at Amazon, where she led economic policy communications across APAC, and roles at Twitter, now known as X, spanning corporate and policy communications. Across these positions, she has built experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs, public policy and reputation management for major global technology companies.
