Prime Video India has added Sony LIV to its add-on subscription service, expanding its content offering across movies, original series, television shows, regional entertainment and live sports.

Announced on October 21, the partnership allows customers to access Sony LIV’s content through Prime Video across mobile devices, web browsers, Fire TV, smart TVs and other supported living-room devices. The subscription is available at ₹399 per month or ₹1,499 per year.

Sony LIV’s catalogue on Prime Video includes more than 450 movies and 300 shows, alongside live sports and on-demand content. Its entertainment offering features the Scam franchise, Gullak and Sitaare Zameen Par, as well as television programmes such as Kaun Banega Crorepati, Indian Idol, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Pushpa Impossible.

The platform’s sports offering includes bilateral India cricket, the UEFA Champions League, the French Open, the Commonwealth Games and UFC. Subscribers can also watch India’s tour of New Zealand, beginning October 22, featuring Test matches, One Day Internationals and T20 Internationals.

The catalogue spans Hindi, English, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Gujarati content, further expanding Prime Video’s multilingual entertainment portfolio.

Gaurav Bhasin, head of AVOD business and marketplace at Prime Video India, said the partnership strengthens the platform’s position as an entertainment destination by bringing together premium entertainment, daily television programming and live sports.

Rajesh Kaul, chief revenue officer and business head – sports and international at Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), said the association would provide audiences with another way to discover and access Sony LIV’s content, including its original series, television properties and sports programming.

Through its add-on subscriptions, Prime Video enables customers to manage multiple streaming services through a single platform. Features include consolidated billing, cross-service search, personalised recommendations, a unified watchlist and downloads for offline viewing.

The addition of Sony LIV expands Prime Video’s existing add-on subscription offering, which provides access to content from more than 30 streaming services through a single destination.
