Ipsos has appointed Lifeng Liu as Chairman and CEO of its Asia Pacific and China (APAC) region, effective November 2, 2026. In his expanded role, Liu will oversee the newly formed regional structure, which brings Asia Pacific and Greater China under a single leadership framework. He will continue to serve as Chairman and CEO of Ipsos Greater China.

Liu has been associated with Ipsos for over two decades and has held several senior leadership positions across the organisation. He has served as Chairman and CEO of the China region since 2017, during which the business strengthened its market position and recorded growth.

Previously, Liu served as CEO of Asia Pacific from 2011 to 2016 and CEO of Greater China from 2007 to 2010. During these tenures, he contributed to growth in revenue and operating profit across the regions.

The appointment is part of Ipsos' broader organisational restructuring aimed at simplifying its operations and strengthening the execution of its Horizons strategy.

Commenting on the appointment, Kelly Beaver, CEO of Ipsos, said Liu's expanded responsibilities reflect the company's focus on building a more integrated organisation, accelerating growth and strengthening client service across markets.

Liu said the consolidation of Asia Pacific and Greater China under a unified leadership structure would create opportunities to strengthen the organisation and address regional market priorities and client requirements.

Liu holds a PhD in Communication from Peking University, an Executive MBA in Marketing from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), and a bachelor's degree in Statistics from Beijing Technology and Business University.
