JSW Sports has onboarded a portfolio of brands, including Kajaria, ARM, Boldfit, CREX, Mastercoin and UE Group, among others, as partners for the Hong Kong Sixes, marking the company’s entry into the international sports IP market.
The partnerships are aimed at strengthening the tournament’s commercial proposition and offering brands an opportunity to engage with cricket audiences through an international sporting platform.
The Hong Kong Sixes features international cricketers such as Krunal Pandya, Chris Green and Abbas Afridi. Known for its fast-paced format and entertainment-led appeal, the tournament offers marketers an alternative to traditional cricket sponsorships, with opportunities for brand visibility and fan engagement.
For JSW Sports, the partnerships represent a step towards expanding its commercial operations beyond India's domestic sporting ecosystem. The company is looking to leverage international sporting properties to create marketing opportunities for brands across sectors through consumer engagement and on-ground activations.
Commenting on the development, Himanshu Sharma, Head of Sales, JSW Sports, said that taking its commercial capabilities to an international sporting property marked an important milestone for the company. He added that the tournament's format and fan appeal offered brands opportunities to build stronger associations with sports audiences.
The Hong Kong Sixes is part of JSW Sports' broader strategy to develop commercially sustainable sporting properties and expand its presence in the international sports business. The company aims to create new avenues for brands to participate in sports-led marketing as the demand for differentiated sporting platforms evolves.
