Ferrero has appointed Maria Ersilia Luciani as Head of Marketing – Premium Chocolate for the APAC-MEA region, expanding her leadership remit across some of the company’s fastest-growing markets.
In her new role, Luciani will spearhead the marketing strategy for Ferrero’s premium chocolate portfolio across Asia, India, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia.
Her mandate spans category strategy, brand architecture, innovation, digital and e-commerce acceleration, integrated campaigns, and overall business performance across diverse markets.
A Ferrero veteran of more than 20 years, Luciani most recently served as Head of Marketing – Biscuits & Bakery for APAC-MEA. Earlier, she held the role of Global Marketing Manager – Premium Chocolate, based in Luxembourg, where she worked on global brand strategy and portfolio development.
Over the years, she has also taken on regional marketing leadership roles across the Americas and emerging markets, overseeing brand positioning, campaign rollouts, and growth initiatives.
Sharing the update on LinkedIn, Luciani wrote, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Marketing Premium Chocolate - APAC-MEA at Ferrero!”
Before joining Ferrero, Luciani worked with the European Parliament and the Italian Trade & Investment Agency, bringing a blend of institutional and commercial experience to her long-standing career in global marketing.
The appointment underscores Ferrero’s focus on strengthening its premium chocolate strategy across the APAC-MEA region as consumer demand and competitive intensity continue to evolve.
