Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios has appointed Baishali Chatterjee as Head of Communications for India.

In her new role, Chatterjee will spearhead communications for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios in India. She shared the announcement of her appointment through a LinkedIn post.

Chatterjee joins the streaming platform after spending more than three years as an independent communications consultant, advising brands including Netflix, Vogue, Reliance, Flipkart and Unilever.

Before that, she served as Head of Communications at Lakmé Lever, where she led communications for Lakmé Salon, Dermalogica India and TIGI India.

Her professional journey began in journalism with Zee Network as a sub-editor and web writer. She later moved to Spenta Multimedia before joining Femina, where she rose to lead the magazine's editorial operations across four cities.

In 2018, Chatterjee made the transition to corporate communications by joining MSLGROUP India as Associate Director. During her stint, she managed communications for clients such as Netflix India and Audible India before venturing into independent consulting.

With nearly 18 years of experience spanning media, publishing and strategic communications, Chatterjee's appointment comes at a time when streaming platforms are increasingly investing in original programming and strengthening audience engagement in India's competitive OTT market.
