Communications veteran Mrinall Dey has launched Brevanta Communications, a strategic communications consultancy co-founded with Suman Nath, he announced via LinkedIn. The new firm will focus on reputation management, corporate storytelling, crisis communications and strategic advisory for founders, CXOs and boards.
Announcing the launch on LinkedIn, Dey said the firm was created to bridge what he sees as a widening gap between businesses with compelling stories and their ability to communicate them effectively.
"Companies with genuinely good stories are being told badly or not told at all because the people managing their narrative are three levels removed from anyone who's ever sat in a newsroom or a boardroom," he wrote.
Positioning itself as a senior-led consultancy, Brevanta Communications aims to work directly with business leaders, chief communications officers and board members, offering strategic counsel during critical reputation and communications decisions. The firm's services span corporate reputation, executive positioning, crisis management and strategic storytelling.
Dey said the consultancy combines newsroom experience with boardroom insight to help organisations communicate with greater credibility and impact. He also plans to share perspectives on reputation management, crisis communications and the evolving communications landscape through his LinkedIn platform.
With nearly three decades of experience across journalism, corporate communications and agency consulting, Dey has advised organisations on reputation management, stakeholder engagement and crisis communications. His career includes leadership roles in corporate communications and public affairs, where he has worked with companies navigating business transformation and high-profile reputation challenges.
The launch comes amid growing demand for senior-level communications advisory as organisations increasingly prioritise reputation management, executive thought leadership and strategic stakeholder engagement in an evolving media and business landscape.
