Impact Research & Measurement has launched SmartMonitor V4, the latest version of its media monitoring mobile application, introducing a conversational AI assistant and a suite of analytics features aimed at helping public relations and corporate communications professionals manage media coverage more efficiently.
The new version is powered by DYNA, the company's proprietary AI analyst, which enables users to interact with their media coverage through a conversational chatbot. Instead of manually reviewing hundreds of news reports, users can ask questions about their coverage and receive contextual insights and summaries directly within the app.
According to the company, the upgraded platform also features a redesigned backend architecture capable of processing high-volume content from multiple sources in real time, converting media tracking data into actionable dashboards and analytics.
Commenting on the launch, Aseem Sood, CEO of Impact Research & Measurement, said, "PR and communications leaders are drowning in information but starving for time. They don't have the luxury of reading through hundreds of articles just to find a single trend or context. By embedding DYNA directly into their workflow, our users can simply ask their news feed a question and get an instant, reliable answer right on their phones."
Shekhar Govindarajan, CTO of Impact Research & Measurement, added that SmartMonitor V4 has been built with a modernised infrastructure to support advanced large language model capabilities on mobile devices. He said the platform leverages technologies such as full-text indexing, vectorisation for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and low-latency APIs to process news content across print, web, television, social media and regional languages in real time.
Among the key additions to SmartMonitor V4 are a unified feed for monitoring print, web, X, television and YouTube coverage; AI-generated article summaries; built-in translation for regional-language content; contextual chatbot interactions through DYNA; and an integrated dashboard with analytics covering metrics such as share of voice, sentiment trends and media volume.
The updated application is now available for existing and new corporate clients of Impact Research & Measurement through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and the company's official enterprise deployment channels.
