Adfactors PR acquires majority stake in Australia’s SenateSHJ

The partnership will expand Adfactors PR’s presence in Asia Pacific while giving SenateSHJ access to an international network and greater scale

Adfactors PR has acquired a majority stake in SenateSHJ, an independent communications consultancy in Australia.

SenateSHJ will continue to operate under its existing name from its Sydney and Melbourne offices. Co-founder and Chair Angela Scaffidi AM and CEO Darren Behar will continue to lead the company.

Nijay N. Nair, CEO of Adfactors PR and head of its M&A and global initiatives, will join the SenateSHJ board.

The partnership brings together Adfactors PR’s reputation and critical issues advisory capabilities with SenateSHJ’s communications expertise. It will also give clients access to capabilities and networks across India, Australia and the wider Asia Pacific region.

Madan Bahal, Co-founder and Managing Director, Adfactors PR, said the partnership would help clients in India and Australia access opportunities in the wider Asia Pacific market.

“India and Australia are emerging as a strategic business corridor,” Bahal said, adding that the company would look at further opportunities to build its presence in the region.

Rajesh Chaturvedi, Co-founder and Chairman, Adfactors PR, said the deal would expand the firm’s presence into Australia.

Angela Scaffidi AM, Co-founder and Chair, SenateSHJ, said the partnership would give the consultancy access to greater scale and an international network while allowing it to retain its existing identity and client teams.

For Adfactors PR, the acquisition expands its presence in the Asia Pacific region. For SenateSHJ, it provides access to Adfactors PR’s network and creates opportunities to expand its capabilities and client base.
