HP Telecom India has appointed Garima Mishra as its chief executive officer, effective October 21, 2026. In her new role, Mishra will oversee the company’s strategic direction, business operations and growth initiatives, with a focus on expanding its market presence and strengthening relationships with customers and business partners.

Mishra brings more than 15 years of professional experience across the defence, consumer goods and technology distribution sectors. She began her career as an engineer with the Indian Air Force, where she spent a decade handling technical and operational responsibilities before moving into the corporate sector.

Her corporate career includes senior sales and commercial roles at Diageo and Pernod Ricard, followed by responsibilities for Apple's business at technology distributor Redington. She has also completed management programmes at the Indian Institute of Management Indore and the Indian School of Business.

From defence engineering to business leadership

Mishra’s leadership approach has been shaped by her experience in the Indian Air Force, where operational discipline, decision-making under pressure and team coordination were integral to her work.

She subsequently applied these capabilities to the corporate environment, focusing on sales team development, distribution network expansion and channel partner relationships. Her experience also includes leveraging data and analytics to inform commercial decisions and improve business performance.

Her work has earned her recognition across industry platforms, including Forbes’ 40 Under 40, BW Businessworld 40 Under 40 and India’s Top 100 Influential Personalities 2024. She received the Stree Shakti Samman in 2020 from the International United Educationists Fraternity.

Focus on market expansion and operational efficiency

At HP Telecom India, Mishra will prioritise expanding the company's market reach, deepening relationships with brand partners and channel networks, and building stronger customer engagement.

Improving sales performance and operational efficiency through streamlined processes and data-led decision-making will also be central to her mandate. The company plans to strengthen its customer experience while developing talent, empowering teams and fostering a culture of accountability and performance.

HP Telecom India has also identified governance and long-term value creation as key elements of its growth strategy, with an emphasis on building a scalable business and delivering value to shareholders.

Leadership highlights next phase of growth

Commenting on the appointment, Vijay Yadav, managing director of HP Telecom India Limited, said Mishra’s combination of engineering discipline, commercial expertise and experience in building partnerships would support the company's next phase of growth.

He added that her ability to align strategic thinking with execution would help the organisation expand its reach and strengthen its market position.

Mishra said she looked forward to building on the foundation established under Yadav’s leadership. She identified stronger vendor and stakeholder relationships, increased customer trust and the development of a resilient, growth-oriented business as key priorities.

She further emphasised strategic clarity, disciplined execution, transparent partnerships and empowered teams as essential to sustainable growth. Drawing on her experience across the defence and corporate sectors, Mishra said she aims to work with stakeholders to create long-term value for HP Telecom India.
