Clays Luxury Media has officially launched in India, marking the debut of a media company dedicated exclusively to the luxury sector. Positioned as a customer publishing and branded content specialist, the company aims to serve luxury brands across industries including automotive, fashion, watches, jewellery, travel, hospitality, aviation, real estate, art and architecture.
Operating under the tagline "Create. Inspire. Elevate.", the media house will produce customer magazines, white-label editorial products, coffee-table books, digital media and bespoke brand experiences. Its long-term ambition is to establish itself as the leading creative and editorial platform for luxury brands across India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
The company enters the market with a portfolio built on more than three decades of editorial experience. According to Clays Luxury Media, its leadership has collectively worked with over 120 luxury brands, supported more than 60 product launches and delivered publishing and media projects across 40 international markets.
At the helm is Simon Clays, Managing Director of Clays Luxury Media, who brings over 35 years of experience in luxury, lifestyle and consumer publishing. Throughout his career, Clays has held senior editorial and publishing positions across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
His previous roles include Editorial Director at Media Transasia India, where he managed a portfolio of 16 international magazine titles, and International Manager for Dennis Publishing's MAXIM, overseeing the brand's expansion into more than 40 countries. He also served as Publishing Director and Director of Print Operations & Strategy at BurdaLuxury, managing media brands across Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Earlier in his career, he relaunched Stuff, one of the UK's leading consumer technology magazines.
Clays Luxury Media said its vision is to become the definitive editorial and creative voice for luxury in the region by combining storytelling, strategic brand intelligence and cultural insights under one platform. Beyond publishing, the company plans to create immersive brand experiences and thought leadership initiatives tailored to premium audiences.
Commenting on the launch, Simon Clays said India has evolved into one of the world's most sophisticated luxury markets, with consumers increasingly seeking high-quality storytelling and meaningful brand experiences. He added that the company aims to bridge editorial excellence with strategic brand partnerships to meet the evolving needs of luxury businesses.
The launch comes at a time when India's luxury industry is witnessing sustained growth, driven by rising affluence, increased premium consumption and expanding global interest in the country's high-net-worth consumer base. By focusing exclusively on the luxury segment, Clays Luxury Media hopes to carve out a niche in an increasingly competitive media and brand communications landscape.
