RedTape has acquired international sports footwear brand Sprandi for India, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka, marking the company’s latest move to strengthen its presence in the sports and performance footwear segment.

Sprandi is an established international brand with a strong presence in markets including China, Russia, the Middle East and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries. RedTape said it plans to introduce the brand in India “very soon” through online and retail channels, with plans to drive the brand at scale.

Following the announcement, RedTape’s shares touched a high of Rs 128.90 on Thursday, after opening at Rs 124.79 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The acquisition comes as RedTape continues to report growth across its core categories. For the nine months of FY26, the company’s consolidated revenue increased 15.42% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 1,76,934 lakh. Standalone revenue stood at Rs 1,76,643 lakh, up 15.24% YoY, supported by growth across footwear, apparel and accessories.

Consolidated profit after tax (PAT) rose 32.52% to Rs 17,067 lakh, while standalone PAT increased 32.80% to Rs 17,299 lakh. The company attributed the performance to improved cost efficiency, steady margins and continued retail traction.

RedTape has also been expanding its presence in performance and outdoor footwear through its Ozark brand. Introduced in FY24, RedTape Ozark is positioned around rugged outdoor and terrain-focused products, including trail running, hiking and adventure footwear.

During Q3FY26, RedTape continued to operate a capital-light business model through collaborations with vendor partners, allowing it to accelerate product development, sourcing and market turnaround while optimising costs.

The company has also expanded its retail footprint to 527 exclusive stores across 295 cities in 20 states and four Union Territories, strengthening its reach across both metro and emerging markets.

With Sprandi, RedTape is now looking to further tap the growing sports and performance footwear opportunity in India and neighbouring markets.
