Trent has appointed Maya Tata to lead the e-commerce marketing function for Westside, its flagship fashion and lifestyle brand, as the retailer sharpens its focus on omnichannel growth and international expansion.
Maya Tata joins Westside after her stint at Tata Digital. She began her career within the Tata Group under the mentorship of Ratan Tata before working at Tata Capital's Tata Opportunities Fund and later at Tata Digital.
In her new role, she will be responsible for Westside's online marketing initiatives, with a focus on strengthening the brand's digital retail operations and enhancing customer engagement. The move aligns with Trent's strategy of creating a seamless shopping experience across its physical stores and digital platforms.
Westside is Trent's largest business, accounting for nearly 40% of the company's overall revenue. The retailer has been investing in integrating its store network with digital commerce while pursuing international growth. Earlier this year, Westside entered the UAE, marking its first overseas market.
Trent is also continuing its domestic expansion, with plans to add around 50 new Westside stores annually after opening 52 outlets in FY2026. During the financial year, the company reported revenue of nearly ₹19,700 crore and expanded its retail network to 1,286 stores across 321 cities through brands including Westside, Zudio and Star Bazaar.
Commenting on the company's international ambitions, Noel N. Tata, Chairman of Trent, said the retailer aims to build Indian brands with global appeal while creating an international business that complements India's export ambitions. He added that digital commerce will play a significant role in supporting Westside's expansion across global markets.
