Nippon Paint is set to become the Official Paint Partner of the MG Indian Super League (ISL) under a proposed multi-year partnership, as the company looks to strengthen its engagement with Indian football fans.

The association will extend beyond the league to 11 participating clubs: Chennaiyin FC, Churchill Brothers FC, East Bengal FC, FC Goa, Inter Kashi FC, Kerala Blasters FC, Mumbai City FC, NorthEast United FC, Odisha FC, Punjab FC and Sporting Club Delhi.

Through the partnership, Nippon Paint aims to connect with football audiences across the country through fan engagement initiatives and brand experiences linked to the league and its clubs.

The association builds on Nippon Paint’s existing presence across India’s sporting landscape, which includes partnerships in cricket, football, kabaddi and volleyball, as well as international sporting events. The company plans to use the ISL platform to engage with regional and national audiences and strengthen its association with local football communities.

Mark Titus, president of the decorative coatings business at Nippon Paint India, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to building consumer connections through sport. He added that football’s ability to bring diverse communities together makes it a platform for engaging with fans across the country.

Karan Yadav, CEO of the Indian Super League, said partnerships with leading brands are important to the league’s commercial growth and ecosystem. He added that the association would create opportunities to expand fan engagement and deliver value to stakeholders.

The proposed partnership reflects Nippon Paint’s continued focus on sports-led consumer engagement, while the ISL looks to strengthen its commercial partnerships and deepen its connection with football supporters across India.
