Nandagopal Rajan has been appointed CEO of The Indian Express – Digital, marking a leadership transition within the organisation’s digital business.
Rajan, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer for the past two years, has been associated with The Indian Express for nearly 13 years. He joined the organisation after a brief stint at India Today.
Announcing his new role on social media, Rajan emphasised the responsibility that comes with the position. “Stepping into the role of CEO of The Indian Express Digital, I am very aware that it is not about a title. It is about responsibility — to Anant Goenka's vision, to George Varghese's belief that we must always be content-led, and to every person who built this organisation and keeps it running every day,” he said.
He also highlighted the importance of maintaining credibility and trust with readers, underscoring the organisation’s commitment to delivering reliable journalism in an evolving digital landscape.
