Fabletics, the US-based activewear brand, is set to enter the Indian market through a long-term partnership with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL).
The brand will make its India debut with the launch of a dedicated e-commerce website and its first mono-brand store at DLF Promenade in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. A second store is slated to open in Mumbai shortly after.
As part of the partnership, RBL will build Fabletics' presence in India through a combination of standalone stores, e-commerce and experiential retail formats.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2013, Fabletics offers activewear designed for training, running, yoga, Pilates and everyday movement. The brand currently operates more than 125 retail locations globally and has collaborated with personalities including Khloé Kardashian and Kevin Hart.
Sumeet Yadav, head, Reliance Brands, said India is witnessing a shift towards movement, mindfulness and athleisure, particularly among younger consumers.
“As we looked to expand our activewear portfolio, Fabletics stood out for its distinctive approach to making fashion-forward design accessible and built for everyday wear, making it a natural fit for the evolving Indian market,” Yadav said.
He added that RBL sees significant potential in introducing Fabletics to a new generation of active consumers in the country.
The India assortment will comprise women's and men's activewear spanning training, running, yoga, Pilates and everyday movement.
Meera Bhatia, president, Fabletics, said India is an important next step in the brand's international expansion.
“India represents an important next step in Fabletics' international growth. We built Fabletics around the idea that consumers shouldn't have to choose between performance, style and value,” Bhatia said.
She added that RBL's understanding of the Indian market and experience in building global brands locally made it the right partner for Fabletics' long-term ambitions in India.
The Delhi store and India website will mark the beginning of Fabletics' India operations, with the Mumbai store expected to follow shortly.
