Zee Entertainment Enterprises has appointed Tejkarran Singh Bajaj as the Business Head of ZEE5 India, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening the platform’s digital growth and innovation agenda.
In his new role, Bajaj will lead the strategic direction of ZEE5 India, overseeing key functions including content strategy, audience engagement, revenue generation, partnerships, and the broader digital ecosystem. He will also play a pivotal role in advancing the platform’s artificial intelligence-driven initiatives and innovation roadmap.
Based at the company’s Mumbai headquarters, Bajaj will report to Amit Goenka, President – Digital Businesses & Platforms, International Linear Business, Enterprise Technology, and Broadcast Operations & Engineering.
As part of the leadership transition, Siju Prabhakaran will take charge of driving the international expansion of ZEE5, focusing on scaling the platform’s global footprint.
The appointment comes as Zee Entertainment intensifies efforts to accelerate the growth and profitability of its digital business. With the OTT landscape becoming increasingly competitive, ZEE5 is focused on enhancing its content portfolio, improving user experiences, and building strategic integrations that unlock new revenue opportunities and support long-term expansion objectives.
Bajaj brings more than 20 years of experience spanning OTT platforms, television, branded content, audience development, and platform strategy. Prior to joining ZEE5, he served as Senior Vice President and Head - Originals at Jio Studios, where he led the company’s original content initiatives across multiple genres, languages, and streaming partnerships.
Notably, Bajaj was also a member of ZEE5’s founding leadership team and played an instrumental role in shaping the platform’s early content vision, commissioning several successful original productions that helped establish its presence in India’s streaming market.
Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership positions at organizations including Maxus (GroupM), NDTV, Endemol India, Miditech, and Essel Vision Productions, building extensive expertise across media, entertainment, and digital businesses.
