KFC has appointed Rishab Mukherjee as chief marketing officer (CMO) for South Asia. He takes on the role at Yum! Brands after spending over 16 years at Procter & Gamble (P&G), where he led brand, commercial and business transformation initiatives across multiple international markets.
Before joining KFC, Mukherjee served as commercial leader (Beauty) and head of brand function for Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore at P&G. In this role, he led the P&L for a portfolio that included brands such as Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Rejoice, Aussie, Olay, Old Spice and Safeguard, while also overseeing the overall brand function across the three markets.
Earlier, he was regional CMO (senior brand director) for P&G's haircare business across Japan and Korea, where he was responsible for brand health, innovation, commercialisation and media strategy.
During his tenure at P&G, Mukherjee also held leadership roles across the company's premium beauty business, including commercial leader for SK-II Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) and director of global retail innovation, where he led business growth across multiple markets while driving technology-enabled retail experiences.
Mukherjee began his career with roles at Bray Leino Splash and internships at Vodafone and Maroon Analytics before joining P&G in 2010.
