Vedanta Power Ltd has appointed Roma Balwani as an Independent Director, strengthening its board with seasoned leadership from across industries.
Balwani brings more than four decades of experience in the corporate sector and is widely recognised for her expertise in brand strategy, communications and organisational leadership.
She currently serves as an Independent Director at John Cockerill India, where she also chairs the CSR and Nomination and Remuneration Committees. She has also recently joined the board of Godavari Power & Ispat.
Balwani has previously held leadership roles at Vedanta Limited, where she served as President and played a key role in shaping the group’s brand strategy. Her earlier career includes stints with Mahindra Group and Aptech Limited.
Beyond her corporate career, she serves as the pro bono CEO of the Indian Deaf Cricket Association and is an advisory board member at TeamLease EdTech.
