Arjun Kalra has joined Uber as Head of Marketing for India and South Asia, strengthening the company’s leadership as it sharpens its focus on brand and growth in the region.

In his new role, Kalra will lead marketing strategy and execution across India and South Asia, with a mandate spanning brand positioning, consumer engagement, and growth initiatives. He will also be part of both the APAC Marketing leadership team and the India & South Asia (INSA) leadership group.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Kalra described Uber as “how our cities move, every single day… chaotic, dynamic, unpredictable, and full of opportunity,” adding that he looks forward to working with teams across India and globally to build a trusted and widely loved mobility brand.

Kalra brings extensive experience across brand, digital, and growth marketing, having worked with a mix of consumer and technology-led organisations. Prior to this role, he spent seven years at Apple. His career also includes stints at AB InBev, Yum! Brands, AkzoNobel, and Tata Consultancy Services.

The appointment comes as Uber continues to invest in strengthening its brand presence and deepening consumer engagement across key growth markets in the region.
