Tushar Vyas exits WPP after 25 Years

Former WPP India chief strategy officer and GroupM South Asia president steps down to pursue a new chapter after a quarter-century with the network.

Tushar Vyas has announced his departure from WPP after a 25-year stint with the global advertising and communications group.

Vyas, who has been serving as chief strategy officer, India, at WPP since January 2023, shared the news through a LinkedIn post. “After 25 years with WPP, I've decided to turn the page and begin a new chapter,” he wrote.

A veteran of the WPP ecosystem, Vyas held several leadership roles across GroupM and its agencies during his tenure. In addition to his current role as WPP India’s chief strategy officer, he has served as president, GroupM South Asia since 2019.

Over the course of his career, Vyas held key strategic and business leadership positions, including chief strategy officer, GroupM South Asia; managing partner, South Asia; and national director at Interaction. He also served as director and chief marketing officer at SureWaves between 2007 and 2010, and held the position of national director at Mindshare.

Widely regarded as one of the industry's leading strategists, Vyas played a significant role in shaping media, marketing and consumer strategy across WPP’s businesses in South Asia.

The company has not yet announced a successor or disclosed Vyas’ next professional move.
