Tata Motors has appointed Ejaz Takey as Head of SUV Marketing, bolstering its leadership team as the automaker looks to strengthen its position in India's fast-growing utility vehicle market.
Takey joins Tata Motors after a stint of more than five years at Mahindra & Mahindra, where he most recently served as Head of Brand. During his tenure, he played a key role in shaping brand strategy and marketing initiatives for the company. Before that, he spent nearly 11 years with Mahindra Rise across a range of marketing and brand leadership positions.
With over 16 years of experience in the automotive industry, Takey brings expertise in marketing management, brand strategy, market research and account management. His appointment comes at a time when competition in the SUV segment continues to intensify, with manufacturers investing heavily in product innovation and brand-building efforts.
At Tata Motors, Takey will be responsible for leading marketing initiatives for the company’s SUV portfolio, supporting efforts to strengthen brand positioning and drive growth in one of the most competitive segments of the passenger vehicle market.
The move reflects Tata Motors’ continued focus on expanding its utility vehicle business and enhancing consumer engagement through strategic marketing and brand-led initiatives.
