Dhanya Hemanth Raj has been promoted to the role of Director, Marketing at Swiggy Instamart, marking the latest step in her journey with the quick-commerce company.
Raj announced the development through a LinkedIn post, expressing gratitude to the teams and leaders who supported her progression within the organisation.
Prior to her elevation, she served as General Manager, Marketing, overseeing annual marketing budgets and media strategy across channels. In the role, she played a key part in driving organic traffic growth for Swiggy Instamart and its private label brand, Noice.
She also led several high-profile marketing initiatives, including the "Chawal / Chawla" campaign and the Rohit Sharma-led "Yeh Se Leke Woh Tak" campaign. The campaigns collectively garnered more than 30 industry awards in a year and contributed to her receiving multiple internal recognitions, including three Swiggstar team awards and an individual Swiggstar award.
Before joining Swiggy Instamart, Raj headed brand marketing at TenderCuts, where she helped double revenue and brand consideration. Earlier, she worked at Licious, contributing to a fivefold increase in revenue over a 15-month period.
Her career also includes stints at MullenLowe Lintas Group, where she served as Brand Planning Director and worked on brands such as Tanishq, Swiggy, Britannia Marie Gold and PhonePe. She has additionally held roles at R K SWAMY BBDO, Converseon and Weber Shandwick.
In her new role, Raj is expected to continue driving marketing strategy and brand growth for Swiggy Instamart as competition in the quick-commerce sector intensifies.
