Sundar Kondur has taken on a new role as chief revenue officer at Kasturi & Sons, the publishing company behind The Hindu Group, marking his return to the organisation in a senior leadership position.
Announcing the development on LinkedIn, Kondur said, “I'm excited to start my new role as Chief Revenue Officer at Kasturi & Sons.”
Two decades across media and revenue leadership
Kondur brings over two decades of experience across media publishing, advertising sales and revenue leadership. Prior to this appointment, he spent more than nine years at Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times Group), where he held multiple senior leadership roles.
His positions at the Times Group included director – Times Experiences, director – South & East, and senior vice president and regional head – South.
Oversaw multi-platform advertising mandates
During his tenure at the Times Group, Kondur was responsible for advertising sales across print, digital, radio, television and outdoor media. His responsibilities spanned both regional and national revenue operations, and he played a role in the launch and monetisation of several group initiatives.
A return to Kasturi & Sons
This marks Kondur’s second stint with Kasturi & Sons. Between 2015 and 2016, he served as vice president – advertising sales, where he headed national sales operations for The Hindu.
Earlier in his career, Kondur worked with Mid Day, where he held senior leadership roles including publisher and general manager.
With his appointment as chief revenue officer, Kondur is expected to lead revenue strategy and growth initiatives at Kasturi & Sons as the publisher continues to adapt to a rapidly evolving media and advertising landscape.
