Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has elevated Varidhi Agarwal to Associate Vice President (AVP) and West Region Head for Sony Vizha, its upcoming Tamil general entertainment channel. According to her LinkedIn profile, Agarwal assumed the new role in July 2026.
Agarwal brings over 12 years of experience at SPNI, with a career spanning advertising sales, monetisation, agency relations and strategic partnerships across the network’s portfolio.
Prior to her elevation, she served as Associate Vice President – Agency Relations and Special Partnerships for Network Channels at SPNI. Over the years, she has also handled advertising sales for Sony Entertainment Television and Sony SAB, as well as ad monetisation for AXN and portfolios for Sony MAX.
In her new role, Agarwal will oversee Sony Vizha’s West Region business, with a focus on driving advertising revenues and strengthening relationships with brands and agencies as the channel prepares for its launch.
Before joining SPNI, Agarwal worked in advertising sales roles at 9X Media and Diligent Media Corporation.
Her elevation comes as SPNI prepares to expand its presence in the Tamil entertainment market with Sony Vizha, with the channel expected to focus on building a strong regional offering for Tamil-speaking audiences.
