Schneider Electric, the global energy management and automation major, has appointed Preeti Bajaj as executive vice president (EVP) of its Home Solutions Division, marking a significant leadership move as the company expands its footprint in smart residential energy technologies.

Luminous to be integrated into Home Solutions portfolio

As part of her expanded mandate, Luminous Power Technologies — which Bajaj previously led as chief executive officer and managing director — will now be integrated into Schneider Electric’s Home Solutions portfolio and operate under her leadership.

In addition, Bajaj has been inducted into the board of Starcharge, a Schneider Electric-managed joint venture focused on electric vehicle charging solutions. She will be based in Gurugram, India, and will oversee global operations for the division.

“A pivotal time for the industry,” says Bajaj

Commenting on her appointment, Bajaj said the transition comes at a defining moment for the residential energy sector.

“I’m honored to lead Schneider Electric’s Home Solutions at such a pivotal time for the industry. As electrification, decentralization and digitalization are reshaping our homes, our mission is to empower homeowners with intelligent energy solutions that are smart, efficient, and sustainable,” she said.

Extensive leadership experience across energy and renewables

Bajaj brings extensive global leadership experience across energy technology, renewables and business transformation. In her most recent role, she headed Luminous Power Technologies, a Schneider Electric-owned company and a major player in India’s power backup and residential solar segments.

Prior to that, she served as chief executive officer of Clipsal Solar — now rebranded as Clipsal Cortex, a Schneider Electric Ventures company — where she led international teams and worked on developing advanced hardware and software platforms for renewable energy solutions.

Earlier in her career, Bajaj also held the position of vice president for strategy and commercial operations transformation at Schneider Electric, where she played a key role in driving organisational and business model change across markets.

With her appointment, Schneider Electric is expected to further consolidate its home energy offerings, spanning power backup, solar integration, digital energy management and smart home infrastructure, as global demand accelerates for sustainable and decentralised residential energy systems.
