Sagar Kadam has exited Sony Pictures Networks India, bringing to a close a four-year association with the media and entertainment company. He most recently served as associate vice president – partnerships, growth and monetisation for the digital business at Sony LIV.
Led subscription growth and strategic alliances at Sony LIV
In his role, Kadam was responsible for expanding subscription revenue and accelerating platform growth through partnerships, business development and distribution initiatives. His mandate included building collaborations across telecom operators, banks, internet service providers, connected device manufacturers, e-commerce platforms, fintech companies, digital wallets, gifting platforms and loyalty ecosystems.
His work played a key role in strengthening Sony LIV’s reach across multiple consumer touchpoints in India’s increasingly competitive OTT market.
Kadam reflects on journey at Sony
Announcing his departure in a LinkedIn post, Kadam described his tenure as a defining professional chapter.
“After 4 incredible years, closing an impactful chapter at Sony Pictures Networks India. It’s been a place of learning, challenges, and growth, and I’m grateful for how much this journey has shaped me professionally,” he wrote.
He also acknowledged the support of his leadership team and colleagues, adding: “Grateful to all my leaders for the belief, guidance and constant push to do better. To my colleagues and partners — thank you for the collaboration, energy and memories that made the journey special.
“Carrying forward everything I’ve learned, with a lot of gratitude and optimism for what’s ahead.”
Over a decade of experience across OTT and digital media
Prior to joining Sony Pictures Networks India in 2021, Kadam was associated with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, where he worked on partnerships, growth and monetisation for streaming platform ZEE5.
Earlier in his career, he spent nearly nine years at Shemaroo Entertainment, handling multiple business development roles. He has also held positions at i-Free and Enable Mobile Technologies, where he worked on content partnerships, strategic alliances and digital distribution.
With over a decade of experience across digital media, OTT platforms and partnership-led growth, Kadam is widely regarded as a seasoned professional in the streaming and digital monetisation ecosystem.
