PunToon Kids and VidUnit have strengthened their senior leadership team with the appointment of Sagar Panda as Vice President – Brand Partnerships, as the two digital content platforms step up their focus on branded collaborations and monetisation across children’s and celebrity-driven content ecosystems.

To lead brand alliances and integrated digital sales

In his new role, Panda will spearhead brand partnership strategy, integrated digital sales and branded content initiatives across both PunToon Kids and VidUnit. His mandate will include building long-term partnerships around VidUnit’s celebrity-led digital content properties, while also driving brand integrations across PunToon Kids’ growing portfolio of children’s programming.

The appointment aligns with the companies’ broader push to deepen engagement with advertisers and agencies seeking targeted digital audiences across family-friendly and influencer-led content formats.

Nearly two decades of media and digital experience

Panda brings close to 20 years of experience spanning media, advertising and digital platforms. Prior to joining PunToon Kids and VidUnit, he headed the West and North regional business at Lokal News App, where he focused on regional market expansion and revenue growth initiatives.

Over the course of his career, he has held senior roles including Associate Director – Growth & Partnerships at ZEE5, and leadership positions at Zee Entertainment, Sakal Media Group, The Hindu Group, India TV, Network18 (News18) and Dalal Street Investment Journal.

His professional expertise spans digital and programmatic advertising, branded content solutions, sponsorship-led intellectual properties, concept selling and strategic revenue planning.

Founder highlights focus on long-term brand collaborations

Announcing the appointment, Sourabh Kumar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PunToon Kids and VidUnit, said the company sees Panda as a key addition at a pivotal stage of growth.

With Panda’s appointment, the two platforms are expected to further formalise their brand solutions verticals, combining original content, creator-led formats and advertiser integration as they compete for a larger share of India’s fast-growing digital video and branded content market.
