Publicis Groupe India names Sonal Verma managing director of Arc Worldwide India

Industry veteran to lead experiential and shopper marketing arm as brands intensify focus on influence at point of decision

Publicis Groupe India has appointed Sonal Verma as the managing director of Arc Worldwide India, strengthening its leadership at a time when brands are increasingly prioritising experiential and connected commerce strategies. Verma will report to Kedar Teny, chief product officer, Publicis Groupe India.

Strengthening experiential and shopper marketing capabilities

Arc Worldwide is Publicis Groupe’s experiential and shopper marketing vertical, set up to address the growing complexity of modern consumer decision-making. With buying journeys becoming less linear and more fragmented across touchpoints, the agency focuses on helping brands influence consumer choice closer to the point of action by designing interventions grounded in shopper behaviour, real-world context and mission-based decision triggers.

In her new role, Verma will oversee business operations at Arc Worldwide India, with a mandate to deepen the agency’s experiential and connected commerce capabilities. She will also be responsible for building future-ready solutions aimed at delivering measurable and business-focused outcomes for clients.

Verma brings with her more than 25 years of experience across integrated marketing, experiential strategy and consumer engagement.

Commenting on the appointment, Kedar Teny, chief product officer, Publicis Groupe India, said the move reflects Arc Worldwide India’s growing strategic importance within the group’s offerings.
