PHD Media has appointed Vinita Shrivastav as vice president – business planning, entrusting her with the leadership of the agency’s Marico mandate in a move aimed at further strengthening its strategic and client leadership capabilities.
The appointment is expected to bolster PHD Media’s senior leadership bench and reinforce its focus on delivering high-impact, future-ready media and marketing solutions for one of India’s leading fast-moving consumer goods companies.
A seasoned strategist with multi-sector experience
Shrivastav brings more than 17 years of experience spanning brand strategy, integrated marketing, media planning, research and business leadership. Her career reflects a blend of analytical expertise, strategic depth and commercial understanding built across both media and marketing organisations.
She began her professional journey in media research at TAM Media, developing a strong foundation in audience analytics and market intelligence. She later moved into leadership roles at major broadcast networks including Reliance and Zee, where she worked across content and commercial strategy functions.
Track record across leading media networks
Over the years, Shrivastav has held several senior positions within the media agency ecosystem. She was part of the core strategy team at Mindshare, followed by a stint leading the marketing vertical at IN10 Media.
Most recently, she headed the L’Oréal business at Wavemaker, where she led integrated media planning and brand-building initiatives across multiple markets, focusing on delivering measurable business outcomes and scalable growth platforms for the global beauty major.
Driving Marico’s mandate at PHD Media
In her new role, Shrivastav will oversee PHD Media’s overall engagement with Marico, with responsibility for driving strategic innovation, accelerating business growth and delivering integrated media solutions aligned with the brand’s long-term objectives.
She will work closely with senior leadership teams at both Marico and PHD Media to develop scalable brand platforms and strengthen the effectiveness of media investments in an increasingly complex and fragmented consumer landscape.
The appointment underscores PHD Media’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership depth as it looks to deepen relationships with key clients and expand its presence in the highly competitive FMCG sector.
