OpenAI has appointed Yashita Jhurani as Policy Advisor for India, strengthening its policy engagement in the country.
Jhurani joins OpenAI after serving for nearly two years as Associate Director – Strategy and Partnerships at the GxD Hub, Krea University. In the role, she was responsible for driving strategic initiatives and partnerships for the institution.
Before joining Krea University, Jhurani worked at Invest India, where she served as Assistant Vice President before stepping down in October 2023.
Her appointment comes as OpenAI continues to expand its presence and policy engagement in India amid growing focus on artificial intelligence governance, innovation, and ecosystem development.
