Meta has appointed Aditya Sunilkumar as Creative Director, marking his move from agency leadership to an in-house creative role at the global technology company.
Sunilkumar confirmed the appointment through a LinkedIn post, sharing that he had started a new position as Creative Director at Meta. The move marks the latest chapter in a career spanning creative leadership, digital, copywriting and advertising across India and international markets.
Before joining Meta, Sunilkumar was associated with Havas India for more than two years, serving as Executive Creative Director and Head of Digital. During his tenure, he led the agency's creative team in Mumbai and its digital mandate, working across brands including Durex, Burger King, UTI Mutual Fund and JBL. His work has also reflected an approach that brings advertising and content closer together, with ideas designed to extend beyond conventional media formats.
Sunilkumar's career has included leadership positions at some of India's prominent creative agencies. Prior to Havas India, he was Executive Creative Director at Creativeland Asia. He also served as Senior Creative Director at The Glitch.
His advertising journey began at Jack in the Box Worldwide, where he took on roles including Creative Strategist and Creative Supervisor. He subsequently moved to Europe, joining Scholz & Friends in Germany as a Copywriter before progressing to Senior Copywriter. Earlier in his career, he also held Junior Copywriter roles at Deutsch and BETC.
Across his career, Sunilkumar has worked on campaigns and brands spanning multiple markets. His international experience includes work associated with brands such as Danone, Henkel, Air France, DraftKings, Mondelez, McDonald's and Budweiser.
His creative work has earned recognition across several major industry platforms, including the Clios, The One Show, D&AD, New York Festivals, ADC and Cannes Young Lions.
The move to Meta comes at a time when the boundaries between creativity, technology and digital culture are becoming increasingly fluid. With his experience across traditional advertising, digital-first work and creative leadership, Sunilkumar brings an agency-side perspective to his new role at Meta.
