LinkedIn has broadened the responsibilities of senior executive Devajit Roy, appointing him to lead the Growth and Mid-Market team for LinkedIn Marketing Solutions across India and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region.
Roy, who has spent more than a decade at the professional networking platform, currently serves as head of India new and emerging business for LinkedIn Marketing Solutions. Under his expanded mandate, he will oversee strategy and execution for advertisers in the growth and mid-market segment, in line with LinkedIn’s regional and global expansion priorities.
Focus on growth and mid-market advertisers
The leadership expansion comes as LinkedIn continues to deepen its engagement with fast-growing businesses and mid-sized enterprises, which have emerged as a key driver of digital advertising spend in India and neighbouring markets.
In his new role, Roy will be responsible for strengthening customer partnerships, accelerating adoption of LinkedIn’s marketing tools, and aligning regional execution with the company’s broader global growth roadmap.
Roy announces role expansion on LinkedIn
Announcing the development in a post on LinkedIn, Roy described the move as a significant professional milestone.
“January marks the start of a new chapter for me in LinkedIn, and I am excited to take India’s global footprint in digital advertising to the next level,” he wrote.
“I’m grateful to share a role expansion of now leading the Growth & Mid-Market Team for LinkedIn Marketing Solutions in India & SAARC region. This role elevation allows me to have a greater impact on how we support our customers and execute in alignment with our global growth priorities,” he added.
Roy said he was energised by the opportunity ahead and acknowledged the contribution of his colleagues in driving performance across the business.
“Energized with what’s ahead and appreciative of the team that continues to raise the bar each time, and I am fortunate to be a part of them,” he wrote.
He also expressed gratitude to senior colleagues for their support and mentorship.

Over a decade at LinkedIn, wide industry experience
Roy joined LinkedIn in 2015 and has since held multiple leadership positions across sales and marketing solutions, contributing to the company’s expansion in India’s fast-evolving digital advertising ecosystem.
Before joining LinkedIn, he worked with a range of organisations including Sizmek by Amazon, Rediff.com, Bennett Coleman & Co. (The Times of India), FedEx Express and Tata Advanced Systems. His earlier roles helped build experience across digital advertising, enterprise sales and business development.
With his expanded remit, Roy is expected to play a central role in shaping LinkedIn’s growth strategy for one of its most dynamic markets, as well as for the broader South Asian region.
