Mars Snacking has appointed Kartik Chandrasekhar as its Chief Growth Officer (CGO) for Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Australia–New Zealand (ANZ), expanding his mandate across some of the company’s most strategically important markets.

The leadership update was shared by Chandrasekhar through a post on LinkedIn.

Transition from Kellanova

Before joining Mars, Chandrasekhar served as Chief Growth Officer at Kellanova, where he spent close to two years overseeing growth initiatives across brands and categories.

His appointment at Mars Snacking comes as global food and confectionery companies sharpen their focus on high-growth emerging markets and consumer-led innovation.

“Inspired to unite powerful brands with diverse teams”

Announcing his new role, Chandrasekhar said he was looking forward to working across regions and building on Mars’ long-standing values.

“Excited to take on the role of Chief Growth Officer for Mars Snacking across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and ANZ. I’m inspired by the opportunity to unite powerful brands with diverse teams,” he wrote.

“I look forward to learning with our teams and driving growth grounded in Mars’ core principles of quality, responsibility, mutuality, efficiency and freedom. Thankful for the confidence placed in me and eager for the journey ahead,” he added.

Over two decades of marketing leadership

Chandrasekhar brings more than 25 years of experience in marketing and business leadership across the beauty, personal care and food sectors.

He began his career as a management trainee at Hindustan Unilever (HUL) and went on to spend over two decades in senior leadership roles, building expertise across brand strategy, consumer marketing and growth management in large multinational organisations.
